Many Netflix users are familiar with hopping through VPNs and DNS tools in a bid to access foreign versions of the service.
But it can be a rather infuriating process, as Netflix and VPN/DNS providers play ‘whack a mole’ with each other.

Fortunately, a new tool has popped up recently, showing users which VPNs are able to access the US version of Netflix. Dubbed CheckFlix, the tool attempts to keep an up-to-date list of working and blocked VPNs.
“Our proprietary software does a complete check of each VPN every hour; giving you up-to-date, accurate information on which VPN you should use to get American Netflix right now,” the website explains.
CheckFlix aims to help users easily circumvent Netflix restrictions
It’s by no means a comprehensive list, featuring five services, while there are also “purchase” buttons next to each entry. It’s unclear whether CheckFlix/AddOnHQ gets a financial kickback from purchases via this route.
The company has explained its reasoning for listing the five services though.
“We chose to list StrongVPN, NordVPN, Buffered, ExpressVPN, and PIA based on our research, which seemed to indicate that these 5 VPNs have been the most successful in being able to access the American Netflix post-proxy-crackdown.”
Although you are paying for the content, hopping through Netflix regions is still considered rather dodgy by the company. So keep that in mind if you plan to use this tool.
