US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order reinstating a ban on the citizens of six Muslim-majority countries, this time removing Iraq from the original list.
It’s been suggested that the changes were made to protect the order from being repealed by courts.

This is still a #MuslimBan , no matter how much the Trump administration tries to wrap it in better legal reasoning & more docile language.

The most obvious change to the order is the protection of US citizens and visa holders — the new ban is only intended for visa applicants, and not those already granted permission to enter.
Trump has kept the ban on refugees, but this time those in transit or approved to enter will be allowed in. Travellers who are visiting the country to visit close US citizen relatives will also be permitted entry.
According to Reuters, legal experts say that the order will be difficult to challenge, as it largely protects people already living in the US.
The revised travel ban that the #Trump administration rolled out today is completely constitutional, legal, and will help secure America NOW

Like everything Trump has done, a solid line has been drawn between supporters and opponents on social media.
In this case, the line is so blatant that those discussing the issue can’t even agree on a hashtag. Most supporters have taken to #TravelBan, while most opponents prefer #MuslimBan.
“The new #MuslimBan is no different than the old Muslim Ban – it’s racist, illegal & rooted in hate.”
Huge rally at WH to say #NoBanNoWall! pic.twitter.com/kOIae6wx4T

Blaming refugees and an entire religion for the actions of extremists is how you create more terrorists, not fight terrorism #TravelBan

Cut the BS, it’s not a #MuslimBan. It’s a ban that protects America from the current threats facing our world. #TravelBan

Others assert the fact that the ban is just a way to hide what Trump is really doing.
#Trumpcare = smoke; #travelban = mirrors

Dont allow the #travelban to distract us from:
1. Sessions Lying
2. Trumps ties to Russia
3. The need to see Trumps tax returns

MSM journalists & celebrities all tweeting/retweeting this #KhizrKhan travel ban story.
If true – a disgrace.
If false – ultimate Fake News.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 6, 2017
Trump only issued a “new” travel ban because he can’t stand that he lost on the old one. This is about his ego, not about our security.
