Social media is abuzz with hashtags and images from the marches across South Africa today.
Johannesburg, Cape Town, the Tshwane metro and Durban are hosting some of the largest demonstrations, but a number of other townsfolk are also joining the country’s citizens.

As more people take to the streets today, the images and videos continue to stream in. We’ll be sure to update this piece as the demonstrations develop across South Africa today.

In South Africa’s economic heartland, a number of marches and demonstrations are taking place, including a DA-organised march at Newtown’s Mary Fitzgerald Square, a demonstration along Beyers Naude Drive at the N1 intersection, and gatherings outside Luthuli House in the CBD.
A silent protest outside the Gupta’s compound in Saxonwold has also been reported, including a gathering in Edenvale.
