Andy Walker opens the floor by elaborating on viral word “covfefe” — the result of an unfinished tweet from US President Donald Trump. The tweet has since been deleted, but not before creating a stir on social media.

Over on Ventureburn, Stephen tells of a former “beach bum,” Grant Vanderwagen, who looks to end Cape Town’s water crisis by turning fog into water. Investors have not yet latched on to Vanderwagen’s idea, which he says he got from a documentary on Peru.

On Gearburn’s side, Hadlee and Andy discuss the new Essential Phone, the brainchild of Android co-founder Andy Rubin. The phone boasts all the essentials [heh – ed] of a 2017 flagship, but the team isn’t sure of its staying power.

In Motorburn news, South African Kelvin van der Linde’s dramatic win at the Nurburgring 24-Hour race is on the table.

Finally, Julia talks about the latest DC film Wonder Woman, which is out in cinemas 2 June.

What we’re watching, reading, playing: Julia has started on American Gods, which she describes as “trippy.” Also, she’d like it to be noted that the “American” goddess she spoke of was actually the African goddess, and she is very sorry.

Andy has been listening to Intelligence Squared’s episode on “fake news,” which features a writer from Breitbart.

Hadlee is still reading The Red Knight of Germany by Floyd Gibbons. He’s also still playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch, and Zombie Gunship Survival on his phone.
