Twitter’s night mode is heading to a desktop near you.
Available on Android and iOS since July and August respectively, night mode is now coming to the company’s website.
No ad to show here.
Notably, this feature has been available on a number of other services for a while. TweetDeck is probably the best example. But if you prefer the simplicity of the website, you now needn’t burn a hole through your eyes with its piercing white background.
It’s simple to switch on too. The company explains:
To enable night mode via twitter.com, click on your profile photo, then select Night mode from the drop-down menu. To disable night mode, simply click on the Night mode setting again.
Users are reacting to the announcement with, uh… glee?
Thanks Twitter, it’s just what we needed: more darkness.
