Summer is upon us, but that doesn’t mean we should neglect that which kept us warm in the winter. So if the novelty of beach days wears off and you feel yourself losing steam, here’s all the new Netflix content you can catch up on while you gear up for more.
3 November: Alias Grace

After the massive success of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Netflix is releasing its own Margaret Atwood series Alias Grace.
The story follows the domestic servant Grace Marks who, along with stable hand James McDermott, was convicted of the murders of their employeer and his housekeeper in 1843. Marks was sentenced to life imprisonment but exonerated after 30 years in jail.
Her involvement in the murders is still debated today.
Also on Netflix this Friday is action thriller 6 Days, about a six-day-long standoff in 1980 when armed gunmen seized the Iranian embassy in London
17 November: The Punisher
Marvel’s The Punisher arrives on the platform 17 November, giving Frank Castle — previously a side character on Daredevil — time to flesh out his character and kill some bad guys no matter the cost.
“After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children,” Netflix writes, “Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld.”
17 November: Mudbound
Also out 17 November is the critically-acclaimed Mudbound, which tells of two World War II vets who forge a fast and uneasy friendship when their arrival home heightens tension for their respective families.
The film delves into racial politics of the US South, while also offering a “sobering commentary on timeless struggles,” according to Eric Kohn of indieWire.
22 November: Godless
Godless is a seven-episode limited series set in a run-down mining town governed mainly by women.
The western drama tells of Roy Goode, a young man on the run from a notorious criminal, who finds himself in La Belle, where the women band together to defend him against the murderous gang.
Godless stars Jack O’Connell (Skins), Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom), and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey).
