The North Korean leader has reportedly gifted his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae In two Pungsan puppies as a sign of a growing peace between the two leaders and countries.

This comes after a landmark summit held between the two leaders in September.

A presser posted to The Blue House’s website details the the nature of the two puppers — named Songgang and Gomi — who underwent “animal quarantine procedures” before being allowed into the country.

“Adapted to the cold mountainous terrain, [the breed] is known for its thick hair, well-followed by its owner, and bravery,” reads the translated page.

It seems that giving dogs to one another is common practice for Korean leaders.

In 2000, then-North Korean leader Kim Jong Il gifted South Korea’s Kim Dae-jung two of the same breed. The South Korean leader reciprocated with two of his country’s famous breed, the Jindo.
