Malusi Gigaba’s spokesperson Vuyo Mkhize has confirmed that the sex tape which sent social media into a frenzy on Sunday was “leaked by an opposition leader”.
Mkhize, who has been asked by Gigaba to handle queries regarding the now infamous video, published the statement to Twitter on Monday morning, just a few hours after Gigaba himself issued a national apology.

It was lated retweeted by Malusi Gigaba himself.
The spokesperson had previously stated that the “the state security agency was behind the illegal interception of the minister’s communication/retrieval of the video from his phone”.
this is yet another fabrication… maybe @SAfmnews should send whoever is managing this account back to journalism school… all i said is that the state security agency was behind the illegal interception of the minister’s communication/retrieval of the video from his phone! https://t.co/psvW84XfZB
