Good Morning America anchor Piers Morgan has once again found himself at the centre of a Twitter war between UK pop group Little Mix, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande and her mother.
On Tuesday, Morgan targeted the girl band and criticised their choice of art for their upcoming album LM5. The cover is reminiscent of an Entertainement Weekly cover of the Dixie Chicks, who have text adorning their naked bodies.

Hey @LittleMix – when are you going to admit you stole this idea from @dixiechicks? pic.twitter.com/dLRX2TMv2k

“Hey @LittleMix – when are you going to admit you stole this idea from @dixiechicks?” he wrote.
Joan Grande, Ariana’s mother, then laid into Morgan with a tweet of her own.
Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan ? Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it! You came for @TheEllenShow yesterday which was disgraceful, she is an angel. @LittleMix today, did you ever hear of paying homage? And..well never mind https://t.co/5WBOlL8t6O

“Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan ? Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!” she wrote.
Grande added that Little Mix may have been paying homage to the country girl trio, while highlighting that Morgan had gone after Ellen DeGeneres earlier this week for demonstrating the “hypocrisy of modern feminism” on her show on Monday.
Ellen drooling today over famous men’s bodies on #InternationalMensDay2018.
Yet I’ve been abused all day for complimenting @hollywills on her legs.
The hypocrisy of modern feminism laid bare..

In response to Joan Grande, Morgan called out her daughter who he believes uses “nudity” rather than “talent” to sell records.
“Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion. Ellen’s a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does…!” he tweeted in full.
Ariana Grande then responded on Tuesday.
Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice.
& we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next. https://t.co/wSknRSlJN8 — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) November 21, 2018

also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.

“[A]lso @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it,” she concluded.
And if that wasn’t enough…
when u do it it’s ok tho right? https://t.co/FJyF24ZlYx

Ariana Grande’s three tweets racked up more than 900 000 likes in total.
Morgan however just had to get the last word in.
Hi Ariana!
How lovely to hear from you so soon after your mother.
Of course, women can do what they like – but if they/you use nudity to sell records to impressionable young female fans, I’ll continue to call them/you out on it.
All due respect, but thank YOU. Next… https://t.co/PpRK5Wqs92— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 21, 2018
Don’t be surprised if this isn’t the last spat these oh so incredibly important members of society have on Twitter before the new year.
