Kanye West has tweeted more than 120 times in the past 12 hours, as the simmering rivalry between the Chicago-born rapper and Canadian rapper Drake reignited.
And yes, it’s a long story.

The beef itself stems from Kanye West’s production involvement in Pusha T’s recent album in which the latter spits acid over Drake’s unannounced child with a former adult actress, and his newfound angry guy persona.
In Kanye’s tweetstorm, he tells Drake that he did not “tell Pusha about your son” and that he’s been “trying to meet with you for 6 months”.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Kanye later notes that “Drake just called” and was “trying to threaten” him and West’s family.
After this, Kanye then bombards Twitter with more than 100 posts in little under four hours.
If you want the quickest recap possible, here’s just a sample of the Kanye West timeline today.

Regardless of the beef, and its potential detriment to Kanye or his family, his Twitter account has benefitted massively.
Within the last day, Kanye West added more than 48 000 new followers to his total of 28.7-million.
He remains the 56th most popular user on the social network.
Drake, after posting absolutely nothing since mid-November, has gained more than 22 000 followers today, all thanks to Mr. West.
Drake boasts nearly 10-million more followers than his “oxygen”, and ranks 33rd on the social network.
