Samsung Internet Beta, the Korean company’s mobile browser, is getting a slew of updates, it announced on Tuesday.
“Along with updating our engine to Chromium 67, our new 9.2 Beta will be the first to feature the OneUI design language,” said Daniel Appelquist, Samsung’s director of web advocacy and open source.

The company originally revealed OneUI — an all-new interface for upcoming Samsung devices — last November. It’s now slowly hitting devices locally, including the likes of the Note 9.
The updated browser features a new icon for Samsung Internet, along with simpler placement for menus and options on device screens.
“The new UI shifts a lot of the user-accessible menus and functions to the bottom of the screen, making them more convenient for one-handed operation,” Appelquist explains.
OneUI boasts also boasts a Night Mode “which sets the UI on the system wide apps to a dark theme”.
When Night Mode is active, you can further access a Dark Mode on Samsung Internet so that your web searches also adopt the darkened theme.
Samsung also revealed WebAPK, which “will generate an app APK and install it so that it will appear in the app launcher and be seen by the OS as a more fully-fledged application.”
Finally, Samsung Internet now features Smart-Anti Tracking.
“With Smart Anti-Tracking, we use on-device machine learning to identify third-party domains that have the capability to track users,” these domains are then denied access to cookies, which makes users harder to track.
The Samsung Internet Beta is available to download from the Google Play Store.
