Apple’s iOS 13 is getting a system-wide Dark Mode, report reveals

A report by 9to5Mac on Tuesday revealed a number of incoming iOS 13 features, including support for a system-wide Dark Mode on iPhones and iPads.

This means that iOS users may enable the Dark Mode interface — a dark background with light text — on their devices, rather than on individual apps.

According to the website, there will be an additional high contrast version of Dark Mode available on iOS 13.

The update will also include a number of improved apps and features, such as an updated undo gesture and the ability to open multiple windows from a single app. The new gesture will allow users to adjust their text by sliding three fingers across the keyboard, either left or right for undo or redo.

Reminders, Mail and Safari will be improved as well.

iOS 13 is expected to launch this June.
