Spoilers trend as Twitter can’t get over latest Game of Thrones episode

Usually the online world is careful not to spoil any plot points for at least 24 hours after a show or movie has aired. On Monday however, this general consensus flew out the window when the third episode of Game of Thrones season eight blew minds away.

Fans took to Twitter, mercilessly expressing their anger, sadness and amazement at how the battle of Winterfell went down. Characters such as Arya Stark, Melisandre, The Night King and Theon Greyjoy trended on the platform for most of the day.

Needless to say, there are spoilers ahead from this point on.

First, fans thanked Melisandre for enlightening everyone, audience and characters included.

But no one could contain their shock and pride when Arya did what she did.

After the bloodshed, horror and ultimate victory for Winterfell, everyone is now waiting to see what happens at King’s Landing next.
