Google on Tuesday revealed an updated look for Android Auto, the company’s built-in smart system for cars.
“The new interface is built to help you get on the road faster, show more useful information at a glance and simplify common tasks while driving,” Google said on its blog.

The updated Android Auto will now prompt users to access their navigation app when they start their cars, as well as manage messages and calls from a new notifications centre.
Users will also be able to see a navigation bar while driving with other apps open.
“Get turn-by-turn directions, rewind your podcast or take incoming call all on the same screen,” the company explained.
The system will further adjust to fit a variety of display screens, and features a dark mode along with variety of colour accents aimed at “improving visibility”.
According to Google, the new features will roll out in the second half of the year.
