Apple will discontinue iTunes as we know it in favour of separate apps catering for music, podcasts and movies, reports suggest.
Last week Bloomberg claimed that Apple will announce the end of iTunes at its upcoming developers conference. The news seemed to be confirmed this weekend when Reddit users and MacRumors spotted that the company had removed posts from the platform’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

iTunes content on Facebook merged with Apple TV, leaving the service’s original page blank. On Instagram, iTunes posts also disappeared, with a link to Apple TV in the account bio.
For now, iTunes on Twitter remains untouched.
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 will begin on Monday afternoon.
