Instagram is about to shove even more advertising down your throat according to a new blog post on Tuesday.

The social network announced that brands and advertisers are now allowed to “promote creators’ organic branded content posts as feed ads”.

This means that you’re probably more likely set to see an ad from influencers you don’t follow paid for brands.

“With branded content ads, businesses have an opportunity to tell their brand stories through creators’ voices, reach new audiences and measure impact,” Instagram wrote.

“Using the tools available on the Facebook ads platform, businesses can reach targeted audiences beyond the people who follow the brand and creator accounts.”

These ads will feature “Paid partnership with” in their title, alongside the company or brand name. You likely have spotted one or two of these previously on Instagram.

Instagram gives a two step process to creating branded ads too. Initially, “creators” can enable the “business partners” setting in their advanced setting tab. Secondly, the “business partner” can then select the post as an ad in users’ Instagram feeds or Stories..

“Branded content ads for feed will be available to all advertisers in the coming weeks and for stories over the coming months,” Instagram concluded.
