FaceApp trends on Twitter thanks to realistic aging filter

AI photo editor FaceApp has managed to start an online trend with several new ways to manipulate your face into something it is not, including a hilariously realistic aging filter.

On Wednesday #faceapp trended on Twitter as users from all over tried the filter for themselves.

Needless to say, the results were quite comical, and even celebrities joined the fun.

The app first made waves online back in 2017, when it controversially gave users an opportunity to change their ethnicity.

At least this time around, FaceApp has gone viral for a more innocent reason.

FaceApp is available for download on both iOS and Android.
