‘Jesus’ trends on Twitter after pastors take him to church in Kenya

The lord’s name trended in vain on Twitter on Monday morning after “Jesus” appeared in Kenya over the weekend. According to mutliple accounts from several users, two pastors — one South African — alledgedly recruited a man to dress as the religious figure and attend church.

Understandably, the fact that many people believed the man actually was Jesus amazed everyone.

Other’s commented on the biblical son of god’s race.

Ironically, “Satan” also trended on Monday morning, for unrelated reasons.

This isn’t the first time a religious moment has trended on Twitter this year. In February, a video of a pastor “resurrecting” a “dead man” birthed a new social media challenge.
