Imagine being charged R18 300 instead of R183 for an Uber trip across town. That’s exactly what some riders experienced in the States this week.

According to the Washington Post, some riders in San Diego and Washington DC used the app this week, but were charged 100 times the fee.

According to Uber, it was indeed a glitch that was eventually rectified. The transport firm also confirmed that it would reimburse riders without them needing to dispute the prices.

Sucks for drivers, tbh.
