With this, Google intends for all its outgoing and incoming shipments to be carbon neutral by 2020, meaning that the company’s hardware will have no carbon emissions.
This includes the likes of its Home smart speakers and Pixel smartphones.
By 2022, all Made by Google products will “include recycled materials with a drive to maximize recycled content wherever possible” as well.
Though the company is aiming to be 100% carbon neutral by next year, the company previously reduced its own carbon emissions by 40% in the 2017-2018 period.
