Facebook on Tuesday launched a new feature to help users see and manage their activity information third-parties share with the platform.
“Off-Facebook Activity lets you see a summary of the apps and websites that send us information about your activity, and clear this information from your account if you want to,” the company said on its website.
No ad to show here.
Essentially, Off-Facebook Activity shows you which websites and apps are tracking your activity and sending it back to Facebook, such as an online clothing store.
In this way, you can opt-out of targeted ads from Facebook based on your activity.
“We are starting by gradually making Off-Facebook Activity available to people in Ireland, South Korea and Spain,” the company also noted.
The feature will roll out globally over the coming months.
