Google wants you to rate movies and series online in the same way you judge people on dating apps.
In a blog post on Thursday, the company revealed a new mobile feature that will present a card stack for movies and series when you search for something to watch.
No ad to show here.
“Swipe left or right on a few shows and movies, and come back any time you want to help improve your recommendations,” the company explained.
The feature aims to curate search results personalised according to what you like to watch.
“Even when you’re hankering for something specific, like ‘horror movies from the 80s’ or ‘adventure documentaries about climbing,’ Search will give you options,” the company said.
When you select a movie or show from the card stack that you’d like to watch, Google will further suggest where you can watch it.
Last month, the company also launched a podcast feature in Search that allows users to find and listen to podcasts directly on the platform.
The “swipe right” feature is currently rolling out in the United States.
