South African data science school Explore Data Science Academy (EDSA) has launched several new courses and a money-back guarantee for prospective 2020 students.
Along with Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Science courses, the academy promises a rebate if it cannot employ graduates.

“The EDSA offers the EXPLORE Money Back Promise if it cannot place the candidate in a job within six months of graduation and at a minimum annual starting salary of R240 000,” the company explained in a press release.
With its R60 000 courses, EDSA notes that it is determined to help solve South Africa’s increasing unemployment rate amongst youth.
“What we are offering is specifically a work-ready opportunity in a highly skills deficient sector, and one which guarantees employment thereafter,” said Shaun Dippnall, the school’s founder.
EDSA believes that its connection to “hundreds of employers” ensure that its students find employment in the industry.
“Our current placement rate is over 90% of the students we’ve taught,” the academy added.
Of course, with the opportunity to earn back R60 000 in school fees if you don’t get a job, EDSA’s application involves a “tough” process of aptitude and attitude tests.
“If you’re smart enough, you’ll be accepted,” Dippnall claimed.
Students looking to apply can visit EDSA’s website.
