Along with a number of “stability and performance improvements”, Chrome 78 also includes its own dark theme.

The theme can be applied to “Chrome menus, settings, and surfaces” and can be found under “Themes” in the browser’s settings.

Desktop users can also force sites to use a dark mode whether they feature one or not by using the browser’s flag system.

According to Google, the Chrome 78 update will roll out on Google Play in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year, the company also introduced dark mode and an updated incognito mode in its Chrome 76 update for Windows, MacOS and Linux.

With Google also rolling out Chrome 78 on web this week, developers are set to receive a new range of updates as well.
