Ryan Reynolds now owns a stake in US cellular network Mint Mobile, the company announced on Monday.
The company, which it believes offers “carrier-grade service for a fraction of the cost“, welcomed the star of Detective Pikachu and the Deadpool franchise to the company.

Reynolds welcomed himself to the company on Twitter.

“Celebrities generally invest in high-end products like skincare brands or delicious gin companies. Yet Mint is making wireless way more affordable at a time when the average American is paying 65 dollars a month,” said Reynolds.
“I’m excited to champion a more practical approach to the most essential technology.”
Mint, which was founded in 2016, is similar to Rain in South Africa. It offers no contracts and no overages. It charges $15 per month for 4G LTE access.
