Unlimited data for the iPhone 4S will be made possible thanks to US mobile carrier Sprint.
When Sprint begins offering iPhone 4S packages, its uncapped data plan will be offered alongside it. Michelle Leff Mermelstein, spokesperson for Sprint said, “We will be offering the benefit of our unlimited plans that start at just US$69.99.”

Users will be able to combine this with unlimited calling for US$99 per month. The only downside to this plan is a US$10 surcharge on both of these plans, adding up to US$79 for uncapped data and US$109 for unlimited calls.
The other two major US mobile providers, namely AT&T and Verizon will also be offering iPhone 4S models fairly soon so Sprint is hoping to stand out from the rest by ensuring that its customers never run out of data or call time.
Sprint and Verizon will continue to offer iPhone 4 models. As far as the “Free” iPhone 3GS, this will only be available with a contract from AT&T.
Roughly a year prior to the launch of the new unlimited data plan, Verizon and AT&T had its own uncapped offering, but this was removed and replaced with various data plans due to network congestion.
Can Sprint handle the traffic? Mermelstein said, “We have every confidence in the ability of our 3G network to handle the influx of devices we expect to get. It certainly hasn’t been an issue to date.”
There is still no mention of the iPhone 4S on the Sprint home page, but news is expected to appear on it in the near future.
T-Mobile is now one of the last of the great telecom brands to not offer the iPhone models. Cole Brodman, chief marketing officer Cole Brodman has said, “The iPhone is a great device and Apple knows that we’d like to add it to our line-up.”
