With the release of the 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina display, most of the world was wondering where its 13-inch little brother was. According to Appleinsider it may be on its way.

A smaller, cheaper Macbook Pro Retina will surely get the Apple crowd jumping for joy. With a rumoured release date of some time in September, it coincides with rumours about the iPhone 5‘s potential release date.
The 15-inch is quite expensive, especially with any added optional hardware. Hopefully a 13-inch would be priced cheaper than the normal screened 15-inch, fitting nicely between the price brackets.
It would need to be more expensive than the Air though, otherwise Air sales would plummet. The combination of the better power consumption of the 13-inch Pro and slimmer and smaller body means that this could be a very attractive option for prospective Apple owners. It would also be nice to have more than one option of Retina displayed notebooks.
