Maybe there is something in the allegations that Apple has thrown at Samsung. Documents during a court case between the two have shown a new 11.8 inch tablet that Samsung is planning to release with a screen close to the resolution of Apple’s retina. Naughty Samsung.

There is so much hype surrounding the court case between Apple and Samsung that it’s quite easy to get confused as to the exact reason why Apple is throwing a hissy-fit. This though looks like a perfect example of what Apple is going on about. Unveiled in court documents shows Samsung’s plans to release a tablet, code-named P10, with a retina-like screen with 2560×1600 resolution compared to the iPad’s 2048×1536, and similar in size to Apple’s iPad.
Okay, so Samsung wants to have a share of the tablet market, so what? It wants to pump up their screen resolution, is that so bad? Yes, Apple set the standard, but that’s not to say that others shouldn’t be allowed to follow, and maybe top it once in a while.
It’s not yet clear whether the proposed 11.8 inch tablet that Samsung wants to release will be stealing patented ideas in Apple’s eyes. What is ironic, though, is that while Samsung is looking at larger tablets, rumor has it that Apple is looking at smaller ones.
Come on Apple, Samsung; can’t we all just get along?
