We love gaming (we take it seriously at the Gear) and this little iDevice accessory, the GameDock, is big on gaming personality.

From the dreamy world of Kickstarter comes the GameDock. Plug an iDevice into the dock, stick in a controller and get gaming, old school. It’s a quaint, US$100 device we’d love to back.
The deets
Plug the GameDock into the TV, pop in an iDevice and boom, geriatric gaming comes alive. It’s not going to work with standard iOS games. Only iCade titles (of which there are hundreds to pick from) work with the GameDock. It’s all good in the hood, as there’s 1080p support for most titles.
The dock works with or without a TV, but for that extra layer of retro-sheen, maybe plug it into an old 10-inch CRT.Connection is established over Bluetooth, with the dock charging the iDevice as it plays.
The project is US$40 000 from it’s US$50 000 goal so get pledging. This is something we want in our Christmas stocking.
