Is this it? From a French iPhone site comes a release date of 21 September.

According to the site, the information was grabbed from “a Chinese source that specialises in the manufacture of accessories”. This company has apparently been privy to Apple’s launch plans, and knows the tech specs of the iPhone 5. Let’s just note that the site is a virtual unknown, so any launch announcements seem tenuous at best.
Apple usually reserves iDevice launches a year after the older product. With the iPhone 4S launching last year in October, a release date of 21 September seems fairly legit. But can Apple keep its next iDevice under wraps for another two months? There’s no way to tell what the iPhone 5 looks like, how it performs or what it’s going to wow us with. For this, we have a mountain of rumours to set us straight.
