It’s already one of the top contenders in the tablet market, but now XDA-Developer Clemsyn has made it even more sought after by squeezing every little drop of performance out of it.

To achieve the claimed 2GHz processor speed for the Tegra 3 chip, an Elite Kernel is used. It isn’t without risk, however. The builder has said that he doesn’t quite trust it with the public yet, because it won’t necessarily work on every Nexus 7. Some won’t be able to handle it, and will overheat, as it is already a bit of problem for the Nexus 7 when it is put under hard stress.
But if you are one to push the limits and don’t mind an experiment, then follow the instructions and hope for the best. You may have one of the fastest tablets on the market, or you may be left with a burnt out heap.
