Piping-hot from the tech-tipsters of the world comes this single, blurry image of the BlackBerry 10 L-series, or London. It’s black, it’s bold, it’s a BlackBerry.

Not bad. We’re particularly interested in the squared-off icons, with the app names clearly marked on the bottom. This is in stark contrast to the almost photorealistic depiction of apps of iOS, and the rounded off icons of BlackBerry 7 OS. Time for change? Yes please RIM. As much as we love BB 7 OS, the new BlackBerry L-series are going to rock the shaky smartphone waters but good.
What else? Well, this model comes in black, and we can also see that there’s going to me some sort of compatibility with Microsoft Office, which the icon “DocsToGo” points out. Then there’s the usual suite of media options and this “StoryMaker” app. Our best guess is that users will be able to edit content together ala iMovie. The N and L-series leaks are nothing new, but this is the first time we’re seeing the notorious OS. We’re excited, BlackBerry’s going in a whole new direction, mainly something a device we can resist rolling our eyes at. Cheers RIM, here’s to your future.
