The Xbox Surface will be specifically targeted at gaming and would possibly not be running a full version of Windows but a custom Windows kernel. Initial reports suggests the Xbox Surface will be a 7-inch tablet with a custom ARM processor and high-bandwidth RAM. The recently heightened security at the Silicon Valley company’s Xbox division was fuel on the fire for speculators and the rumours.
This has been an ongoing rumour, as back in June 2012 a document for the specs for a gaming orientated Xbox tablet was leaked. This document specified a tablet with 1280 x 720 resolution, support for up to four wireless controllers and a seven inch screen.
