Although Windows 8 has been touted as a touch-centric OS best experienced on a tablet, Velocity Micro believes that its Edge All-in-one desktop PC is the perfect companion for Microsoft’s new OS. Velocity Micro proudly flaunts the Edge’s fully configurable features as well as being 100% American-made. Each and every Edge AIO is designed and assembled in the US.

Let’s see what the Edge AIO is packing. It features a 23.6-inch 1080p backlit LED display, consumers will also have the option of Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors. The Edge AIO is also fitted with a 720p front facing webcam as well as being optimised for both Windows 7 and 8. Storage options are also fully configurable, with a standard 500GB Hitachi hard drive, which can be replaced by four other options, the top being a 240GB Intel SSD.
As far as connections are concerned, the Edge AIO has two USB 2.0 and four 3.0 ports, HDMI input and an SD slot. It also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality. Prices start at US$799 and tap out at US$2240, if users opt for every top of the line configuring option available.
The Edge AIO looks good and boasts some impressive spec upgrading options, added to the fact that it bleeds red, white and blue, it should do well in the US market.
