That’s a hell of a lot of Metal Gear for half a Benjamin, over 25-years worth as the first title was released in 1987 for the MSX2. The release of the graphic novels is an occasion in itself, as these digital books have never been released outside of Japan.
The novels outline the history of Metal Gear and for anyone who has played any MGS title, you’ll know how crazy the story can get. A one-hundred year old sniper battle in the “first” MGS, Subsistence, is the highlight of the kookiest game of all time. This release is destined for the US only, but it’s region free so we’ll have to import this one to enjoy it. Head on over to Amazon to pre-order Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, if you want to. If you pre-order now, you save a whole US$0.03.
