We’d all love a Nexus 5 at this point. Google’s stock Android phone (which is said to be one of the first devices to run Android 4.4, Kit Kat) was snapped by the mostly spot-on Evleaks who have this absolutely stunning white Nexus 5 on display. Begin drooling.

Okay, this image is just an exceptional one and it’s one step closer to the Nexus 5 being placed squarely into our pockets. There’s not much else to the tweet: “In white. 11/1″ But what else do we need? That’s a 1 November launch, or this Friday, for the Nexus 5.
It’s now been officially a fully year since the announcement of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10, Google’s stock Android smartphone and 7” tablet, said PCMag. The site further postulates that Google will then do the same with the Nexus 5 — announce it this Friday and launch it a little later in the year.
We covered the rumoured specs a while back and the Nexus 5 looks to be every inch the success the Nexus 4 was. There’d be a 4.95″ screen loaded with Kit Kat goodness. The CPU would be 2.3Ghz with 32GB internal storage and an 8MP camera. It’s also expected that the Nexus 5 will cost R3500 (US$349) for the 16GB model. It’s most likely that the 32GB Nexus 5 would cost a R500 more and raise the price to R4000 (US$400). That’s pure speculation but in line with the pricing of the current Nexus 4.
Nexus 5 speculation is at an all time high. We believed that the Nexus 5 would have launched 15 October (according to IBtimes), but our hopes were dashed when Google launched exactly nothing two weeks ago. While we’re all dreaming of a white phone, we can at least mark our calendars for yet another rumoured launch, coming real soon.
