Mortal Kombat X has gone from rumour to an official trailer, featuring the two anti-heroes of the series, Sub-Zero and Scorpion duking, it out in glorious next-gen visuals. The two undead stars seem to be fighting in a pre-rendered cinematic but then the match shifts into a (supposedly) realtime gameplay session. Sadly, the YouTube video has little information save for this official blurb:
“Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience,” Does this mean that Mortal Kombat X will be a next-gen only game? Let’s hope, because those PS3 and Xbox 360 games are starting to look a little long-in-the-tooth.

For now, the official Facebook page and Twitter account will provide us, hopefully, with more information as the months slowly roll by until 2015 hits.
