Is this why Sony has been so quiet on the mobile front this year?
The company has been hard at work on an upgrade of the lauded Z3 series of smartphones and tablets (pictured above), and it seems as though the “Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet” has been spotted.

Ironically, the tablet was leaked by Sony itself on the Sony Lounge app that comes pre-installed when purchasing an Xperia device. It was swiftly pulled, but not before an XperiaBlog tipster caught a screenshot.

In terms of specs, it would seem that Sony has been hard at work upgrading the 1080p screen on the Z3 Tablet to a 2K screen (usually 2048×1536), with the tablet boasting improved battery life and beefier performance over the old, perhaps thanks to the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC that will probably be employed.
While there has been no word from Sony regarding any of its forthcoming devices at MWC, it would seem that the company is planning to launch something rather special in Barcelona next week. But will the Z4 Tablet feature alongside the more eagerly-awaited Xperia Z4 smartphone?
We’ll just have to wait and see. For now, have a look at the leak below.
