If you happen to be one of the select few to have a Wii U console beneath your television, you’ll be happy to know that Nintendo today pushed a new update that patches a whole host of bugs and sheds a little bit of weight, according to NintendoLife.
Update 5.4.0 focuses mainly on stability fixes it seems, so there’s nothing major on that front to report. But what’s definitely interesting is that Nintendo has finally stripped the TVii feature from consoles in European markets.

The service essentially allowed users to browse TV channels on the Wii U GamePad and watch them from the comfort of one’s hands. It’s an interesting idea, and is available in the States and Japan, but Nintendo pulled the plug for European audiences back in February.
The feature is now removed from the console entirely if you happen to be anywhere near the GMT line.
