Microsoft has announced the August line-up for Games with Gold. This program gives subscribers free games for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One as long as they are part of Xbox Live Gold.
Unlike Sony’s rival PlayStation Plus program, the Xbox game releases are spaced out. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (Xbox One) will be available from 1 August through to 31 August, while the other Xbox One release — How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition — will be available from 16 August to 15 September.

Both Xbox 360 Metro titles will follow on from each other. Metro 2033 will be available from 1 August to 15 August, and Metro: Last Night will be 16 August to 31 August. The games are first-person shooters based in a horror-filled post-apocalyptic future Russia.
With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s release just around the corner, now is the perfect time to pick up – what some people call – the extended demo that is Ground Zeroes. It’s the first time Kiefer Sutherland takes on the role and motion capture of Big Boss, after David Hayter had voiced the Snake characters for so many years.
As with all of these programs, there is a chance South Africans may receive alternative titles depending if the title has been rated locally or not.
For R50 per month, or R590 a year, the service includes a range of other features, which makes it quite an appealing purchase.
