New Apple iPod Touch may launch tomorrow, rumours suggest

If you enjoy camping outside Apple stores on the eve of a launch, rumours suggest that you should be packing your sleeping bag and sleepwear right now. French website Igen through it’s sources has revealed that the world could be bumping to a new range of Apple iPod music players as early as tomorrow, 14 July.

According to several reliable sources that we have already knowledgeable in the past, Apple is set to announce a new wave of audio players early next week – our contacts evoke availability for Tuesday, July 14, but the announcement could intervene yesterday.

Igen’s source also suggests that all models will receive an update, including the iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle and the iPod Nano, as well as introducing a range of new colours. “Gold, electric blue and fuchsia, plus classic black, pink and gray sidereal” are all mentioned in the article.

It would be quite a statement by Apple, considering that new devices are usually launched in September to manufacture sales hype for the holiday period. However, it would also be the perfect time to launch a range of new players, considering that Apple Music — the company’s new music streaming service — launched just a few days ago.

Of course, this is a rumour and with all rumours, should be treated with copious lashings of salt.
