Everyone’s getting into the Halloween spirit this weekend, and not surprisingly. On that note, Valve has also joined in the fun announcing a new game mode for Dota 2 players dubbed Haunted Colosseum.

It’s a little different from the regular Dota 2 formula, and forces two teams to combat one another along one path. Along said path lie five Control Points. “Own three Control Points and your team’s score will rise,” notes the announcement. “Own more than three, and your team will score points even faster!”
Effectively, the long and short of it is this: capture as many points as you can, score 5000 points, and win the match.
Of course, that’s always easier said than done in Dota 2.
The teams are also allowed to use various traps along the route as well, including the likes of Spike and Pendulum.
