Industry tracker NDP Group this week announced that the PlayStation 4 claimed yet another month as the top selling console of 2015 in the United States, outselling the Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U yet again.
That means that Sony’s console was pipped to the post in all but one month of the year by the Xbox One — April.

Sony, in a press release thanking its supporters, suggested that the console was the top selling platform for “NBA 2K16, Madden NFL 16, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and FIFA 16,” with the company also leading sales of Destiny: The Taken King thanks to a bundled offering.
The company continued:
It was also a very strong month for PlayStation Network with September being the highest grossing month in PlayStation Store history. From PlayStation exclusives like the recently launched Uncharted Collection to partnerships with Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront, we are committed to our community and to making PlayStation the best place to play this holiday.
According to the last earnings call by Sony back in June, the PlayStation 4 has sold 25.3-million units since its introduction in 2013, with the Wii U tipping the 10-million mark in June 2015, and the Xbox One tipping the 11.6-million mark back in July 2015.
