It’s taken longer than most recent Apple devices for the Apple Watch to reach our shores, but today it’s finally on sale.
Beginning at R5899, the Apple Watch is the company’s first stab at the smartwatch and wearable technology market, developing its own chipset, operating system and sense of elitism before launch.

What perhaps makes the Apple Watch different from other devices is its varied, multifaceted use, especially in the health spheres. Apple punted this excessively during its launch, and the Watch’s subsequent update announcement at Apple’s recent launch event.
While the Apple iPhone 6S, 6S Plus and iPad mini 4 have arrived in the country a week earlier, it’s the Apple Watch that will now lead the company’s charge.
It’s available today from the iStore and various participating retailers, like Incredible Connection and Digicape.
