Windows 10 is Microsoft‘s new actuator, which has seen the company reinvent itself in the smartphone and ultraportable tablet segments. But now, the company’s looking to push Windows 10‘s influence into the gaming sphere, with the introduction of the OS to the Xbox One console.
The update is coming 12 November for all users and will see a vast UI improvement, a more natural navigation experience with the controller and the introduction of DirectX 12.

While Cortana was rumored to be included in the update, Microsoft has noted that she’s not yet ready to join the fray just yet. Instead, you’ll probably have to get your hands on Halo 5: Guardians to see her. She’ll likely make her bow in 2016, but Microsoft has yet to announce an actual date.
Of course, the update also brings backward compatibility to all users’ machines, which means that a select number of games from the bygone era can be played on the new console.
