Halo 5: Guardians gets its first big content update

Released just over a month ago now, Halo 5: Guardians was billed by us as a return to form for the franchise that was growing more stale by the day. In light of this, Microsoft and 343 Industries have been paying avid attention to gamers’ wants and needs. The latest update proves this.

Battle of Shadow And Light, as the update’s named, is a mandatory installation but will add new Big Team Battle maps — four of them, in fact. Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine and Recurve are now featured.

On that note, the BTB is now once again live and makes for eight versus eight player battles inside a bunch of classic maps. Basin will undoubtedly pique a few hardcore fans’ interest.

Additionally, there’s a bunch of new customisation kits for weapons, vehicles and your own Spartan (including a new visor, woop).

According to the Xbox One subreddit, the download’s around 6.2GB.
