Chair Entertainment has remastered the popular Shadow Complex video game and released it for free on PC for a limited time. The game can be downloaded from the Shadow Complex website.
The remastered edition includes revamped graphics, achievements, and master challenges. Shadow Complex takes its gameplay inspiration from titles such as Metroid and Castlevania.

Shadow Complex was originally released in August 2009 for the Xbox 360 and is being remastered for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No dates have been given for its console release.
The game follows Jason Fleming (voiced by Nolan North) and his girlfriend Claire (Eliza Schneider) as they hike through the Olympic Mountains. They stumble upon a cave, which Clair opts to explore. When she doesn’t respond to Jason, he goes after her only to be discovered she’s being held prisoner by a terrorist group, and must put a stop to them.

The game’s storyline was written by comic book writer and Star Trek novelist Peter David.
It has won over 50 Game of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards since its August 2009 release.
Based out of Utah, United States, Chair Entertainment is a subsidiary of Epic Entertainment and uses the Unreal engine series for its games. The company is most popularly known for Infinity Blade, a trilogy of fantasy and science fiction games released on the iOS platforms.
