Xbox store ‘biggest sale ever’ pricing up early [Update]

A few days ago, Major Nelson teased that the Xbox store would be having a major sale starting on 22 December. Well, it seems as it all of those sales prices are already pre-loaded ahead of schedule.

According to the teaser, titles such as Halo 5: Guardians (review), Rise of the Tomb Raider (review), and Forza Motorsport 6 will be discounted. There will also be deals on a wide variety of non-exclusive titles like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Fallout 4 (review).

Prices can range from 40% to over 60% off Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward compatible titles, though don’t expect those kinds of deep discounts on newer titles. Subscribers to the Xbox Live Gold programme will be receiving additional discounts.
