HTC launched a slew of phones last year, but none really stood out in their price range or market segment. Now new reports from expert leakers Evan Blass and Llabtoofer now suggests that HTC’s preparing a budget device for 2016.
Codenamed A16, the HTC Desire series phone will sport a host of new colour options including coloured buttons, backplates and accents, all clearly aimed at a youthful market.

The leaked specs however don’t exactly inspire. There’s a reported Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
There’s also a 5.0-inch screen likely boasting a 1280×720 screen. Imaging is provided courtesy of an 8MP camera at the rear and a 5MP snapper up front, and all this is powered by a 2200mAh battery.
