Japanese video game company Nintendo has released another firmware update for its line of 2DS/3DS handheld consoles. Named 10.6.0-31, it doesn’t seem to bring much to the table.
According to the Nintendo’s vague changelog entry for the revision, it adds stability and adjustments to the system.

“Further improvements to overall system stability, system security and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user’s experience.”
After applying the update, there doesn’t appear to be any noticeable changes to the system, though improved stability behind the scenes is always welcome. There is speculation that all of the incremental updates are slowly laying the groundwork for the My Nintendo unified platform said to be released in March.
Those wishing to access the Nintendo eShop or play online will need to update their console, which appears to be small in file size.
